We sat in the Main House yesterday ...and enjoyed our new sofa!  Very comfortable and fluffy.  It's been a mild winter in Santa Fe and the Sun was shining through the 1912 french windows in the late afternoon.  We were laughing and visiting in a rare few moments rest after weeks of hard work catching up on all the preparations that are attended to every year in the "off" (best time to come) season.

Suddenly I realized how truly amazing this house was.  I could feel her nearly 100 years of history as she wrapped her arms around her visitors! She embraced us as if we were her favorite guests.  And  I knew why people come year after year to sit in her light at the end of a long day of adventures in Santa Fe.

I just started here...but I knew I would look forward to staying...and hearing poetry, music and stories in this room.  In seeing cooking classes taught and Fine Art hung here...in the days to come.  She is so far from finished with the memories she is making...
